Graphic communication through Isotype

University of Reading

Designed and printed in the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, University of Reading.

First edition 1975

This edition: Second revised edition 1981

Paperback, 48pp

Originally published in connection with an exhibition recording the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Gesellschafts-und Wirtschaftsmuseum in Wien, which was held in the Library of the University of Reading May to October 1975.

From Acknowledgements:

'The following students of typography have given generously their time and skills in connection with the design and production of the exhibition and the printed material related to it: Sandra Banks, David Campbell, Ann Grove-White, Robin Kinross, Cristina Pinho, Janey Sugden.

Marie Neurath has patiently responded to a host of enquiries on matters of fact and was kind enough to take a look at the scheme for the exhibition and the proofs of this publication. Our task would have been more difficult - and much lessrewardidng - had she not so willingly given assistance.’

J.A Edwards (Archivist, University Library)  and Michael Twyman (Dept of Typography & Graphic Communication)
