Zwei Wohnhäuser. 1928. Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret. Akademischer Verlag Dr. Fr. Wedekind & Co. Stuttgart 1928. A rare publication about the construction of the Weissenhofsiedlung for the 1927 German Werkbund Expo. Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, Le Corbusier,  Peter Behrens, Bruno Taut, Mart Stam and J.J.P Oud were all among the architects invited by project director Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to create houses for an entire estate of modern buildings. This book shows the houses which Le Corbusier and Jeannneret designed at the ground breaking modernist Weissenhof Exhibition in Stuttgart. Includes 2 folding plans of the houses which were built. Cover and typography by Willi Baumeister. 300mm x 215 mm. 48 pp. This edition has the scarce misspelling of Jeanneret's name on the cover. Very good condition.
